Since the Israeli government began imposing nationwide lockdowns in March following the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, authorities have issued a total of 66,813 fines for violations of lockdown orders and other restrictions imposed to curb the virus’ spread.
As of Sunday, fines totalling 43,485,000 shekels ($12,467,567) were issued for violations of any of the special regulations put in place following the outbreak of the coronavirus.
