500 Israelis considered at risk for COVID-19 after having their movements tracked by the internal security agency Shabak and placed in isolation are now infected with the virus.
Shabak notes that without quick action in locating these individuals and quarantining them, many more people would have been infected.
Israeli police fanned out across the country, enforcing the Min. of Health’s new guidelines against the spread of COVID-19.
Meanwhile, Israel’s top commando unit Sayeret Matkal is searching for individuals infected with the coronavirus whose identity and personal information has been lost. The unit is employing sophisticated intelligence gathering tools to locate those involved and to refine the system for data collection and monitoring to prevent future occurrences of this kind.
