Reportedly, the air combat in Kashmir Region lasted nearly an hour. It was the biggest concentration of aircrafts and AWACS is a very restricted space where the technological and planning edge of Pakistan Air Force saved the day for Pakistan.

Based on accurate flow of information, Pakistan Airforce reportedly amassed about 20 aircrafts comprising JF-17 Thunder and JC-10 supported by AWACS. The total concentration of aircrafts along and astride line of control and working boundary was nearly 100; the highest in modern air combat.
- The air battle lasted over 40 minutes and finally Indian Airforce retreated with heavy damages. All Pakistani aircrafts returned safely to their bases.
Soon, Indian ground forces across the line of control raised white flags.
Pakistan Airforce through better surveillance and electronic warfare capabilities used professionalism to concentrate at the point of decision, a superior calculus of Time, Space and Relative Strength (TSR) against a numerically superior enemy. In the air combat that lasted over 40 minutes, better interoperability and communications with superior PL-15 hypersonic air to air missiles engaged Indian Airforce at longer beyond visual range (BVR) causing destruction and damage to Indian Airforce.
- It is interesting to note that as a measure of escalation control, India only used air to surface missiles launched by SU-30 and Rafale and avoided using surface to surface missiles.
Now while Pakistan Airforce pilots and crew return to briefing rooms and tea bars to conduct debriefings, Indian Airforce is trying to come to terms with its losses.
Chinese systems used for the first time in combat have proven their superiority.
