The Israel Ministry of Defense has completed the preparation for President Joe Biden’s arrival at Ben-Gurion International Airport, slated for Wednesday.
The Ministry is responsible for facilitating President Biden’s welcome ceremony at the airport, where a secure compound was built to accommodate hundreds of participants including various officials and journalists.
The designated area also includes a red carpet, around 150 seats, stages for journalists and photographers, a stage for speeches, and more.
Following President Biden’s arrival, the Ministry of Defense’s Israel Missile Defense Organization will lead the display of multiple Israeli defense systems including: “Arrow”, “David’s Sling”, “Iron Dome”, and “Iron Beam”.
Deputy Head of the Logistics and Assets Department and Head of the Ministry of Defense’s Logistics Operations Unit, Yuval Gabai said in a statement Tuesday:
- “The Logistics and Assets Department team has been working around the clock to ensure that President of the US Joe Biden’s welcome ceremony is carried out in the utmost professional and respectable manner. We are working in cooperation with the Prime Minister’s Office, the Foreign Ministry, the Israel Airports Authority, and more. Hundreds of professionals will welcome the President and his entourage as well as the many reporters that are expected to cover the visit.”
