According to the expert, earlier the US authorities tried to contain the Russian Federation, but now the Americans intend to fight a new enemy – China.

As Lazarev noted, the task of the White House is to avoid further rapprochement between China and Russia.

“They realized that the main threat is already coming from China, and Ukraine has become a non-priority for the foreign policy of the United States of America. However, it has remained profitable for a number of companies that earn money here,” the specialist said on the air of the Nash TV channel .

He added that the United States is trying to negotiate with the Russian authorities and is making concessions in order to prevent the formation of strong Russian-Chinese relations.

“The states are ready to give up Ukraine, they want to give it up,” Lazarev stressed.

The political scientist recalled that the US President has repeatedly said that American soldiers are not going to fight on the side of Ukraine.
