The former president of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, an example for politicians: He became a shepherd and lives on 250 euros a month

The former president of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has decided to live in a way that surprises many and is an example of humility and devotion to his people, making a living by herding sheep.

After his term was completed, he refused the president’s pension and returned to teaching at the university, receiving a supplemental salary of just 10,000 rials, or less than 250 euros, a month.

He lives simply at home and when he stays in hotels, he asks for simple rooms, even without a bed, preferring to sleep on the floor with a mattress and a blanket.

Ahmadinejad uses public transport to get around and has sold the used Peugeot car provided by the presidency.

When asked why, while he was president for two terms, he did not take advantage of his position to improve his life financially, he replies that ” a real leader must live like his people .”

This attitude of Ahmadinejad is in stark contrast to the situation in Greece, where strangely, from ordinary MPs to even serving ministers of one month, they manage to inexplicably create wealth!

In the wonderful political life, it is easy for the national representative to simply get rich…

Ahmadinejad’s life is an example of how a leader can choose to live simply, showing his solidarity with his people in practice.

Instead of profiting from his position, he preferred to maintain a life in line with his values and the needs of ordinary Iranians.
