The Hind Rajab Foundation

Hind Rajab, was a five-year-old Palestinian girl, in Gaza. As her family sought to escape the relentless bombardment in Tel al-Hawa, their car was mercilessly targeted by an Israeli tank in an attack that can only be described as a war crime. Hind survived the initial barrage, only to be left alone in the blood-soaked car, surrounded by the bodies of her loved ones. Her desperate cries for help, as she begged for rescue on the phone with emergency services, moved hearts around the world. The ambulance that was sent to save her, after hours of negotiation, was obliterated by the Israeli army, ensuring that Hind’s life was cruelly and deliberately extinguished.

  • This horrific act is not an isolated incident but part of a systematic and intentional campaign of extermination targeting Palestinian civilians in Gaza. Hind’s death stands as a damning indictment of the genocidal killers who perpetrate these atrocities with impunity.

The Hind Rajab Foundation is committed to honoring her memory by holding these perpetrators accountable and shining a light on the truth of the ongoing genocide in Gaza. We refuse to let Hind’s story be forgotten or dismissed; Her story is that of all the victims of this genocide.

Israeli soldier facing Gaza war crimes charges flees Brazil: Reports

An Israeli soldier who was accused of committing war crimes in Gaza while vacationing in Brazil, has fled the South American country, Israeli media report.

  • Shortly before Yuval Vagdani fled after being wanted for questioning by the authorities in Brazil, his family said he “is not under arrest”, that they are “interested in him coming to Israel”, and that “those who need to help him are helping him”, broadcaster Kan reported.

Israeli outlet Israel Hayom also reported that the man had fled Brazil, without giving details.

  • Earlier, we reported that Hind Rajab Foundation (HRF) accused Vagdani of participating in “massive demolitions of civilian homes in Gaza during a systematic campaign of destruction”. The HRF, in a follow-up statement, said it received information that Israel was attempting to smuggle the soldier out of Brazil.

UPDATE

Francesca Albanese, the UN’s special rapporteur on Palestine, hailed a decision by a court in Brazil to order a probe against a visiting Israeli soldier, saying legal actions against Israelis suspected of crimes in Gaza are “necessary and overdue”.

The remarks on X came in response to the Belgium-based Hind Rajab Foundation (HRF) announcing that a Brazilian court had acted on a complaint it filed against Israeli solider Yuval Vagdani and ordered the country’s police to launch an investigation.

Israeli media later reported that Vagdani had fled the South American country.

“Apartheid Israel will go to great lengths to shield its soldiers since a conviction abroad for crimes against Palestinians is a precedent it cannot afford,” Albanese wrote on X. “Yet, justice is unstoppable,” she said.
