In the face of US warnings, Turkey has begun drilling the operation of the S-400 air defense batteries purchased from Russia against Turkish Air Force US-made F-16 fighter jets. The new S-400 batteries are stationed at the Murted military base 10km west of Ankara. They practiced shooting down F-16s as they made simulated strikes.
