The UN’s Middle East envoy Nickolay Mladenov says Israelis and Palestinians’ cooperation on the coronavirus crisis has been “excellent.”
Mladenov notes thus in a Tweet in which he says he’s spoken with members of the so-called Middle East Quartet — which includes the UN, US, Russia and the EU — about reviving peace negotiations between the sides.
Today I spoke to my #US, #Russia, #EU colleagues of the #MiddleEast Quartet. We discussed how to revive meaningful #peace negotiations towards the goal of two states. I briefed them on #UN efforts to support excellent #Israeli #Palestinian cooperation against #COVID2019.
