Veggies and eggs return to northern Gaza markets, but prices unaffordable

A small amount of food and supplies has just arrived to the north of Gaza.

Food such as tomatoes, potatoes, onions and eggs have come back to the markets.

But this food is not affordable for everyone. It is very expensive.

For example, 30 eggs before the Israeli invasion cost $3. Now you have to buy it for $35.

The same for tomatoes and potatoes – they are very expensive and people cannot buy them.

These trucks with food and supplies are coming through the Kuwait Roundabout from the Egyptian crossing.

Nothing has entered from the Erez [Beit Hanoon] crossing, despite all the promises Netanyahu made about reopening that crossing.
