Watch: ‘Betrayal straight out of dark movie’ – Denmark up in arms as Trump targets Greenland; US Op looms

Anger and disbelief are growing in Denmark and Greenland as residents react to Donald Trump’s renewed push to bring Greenland under U.S. control, even floating threats of force and tariffs. Voices from Copenhagen describe Trump’s rhetoric as “horrific,” “disrespectful,” and “unbelievable,” comparing the situation to a bad movie with a dangerous plot.

  • Many fear Denmark is being sidelined and disrespected, while Greenlanders and Indigenous leaders strongly reject any notion of being “bought or sold.” In Greenland, the Inuit Circumpolar Council warned Trump’s language echoes colonialism and imperialism, threatening decades of peace and cooperation in the Arctic. The controversy has turned Greenland into a flashpoint, straining U.S.–Denmark relations, unsettling NATO allies, and raising fears of militarisation in the Arctic region.

Why People Live in Greenland 🇬🇱 (World’s Largest Frozen Island)

I traveled to Nuuk, the icy capital of the world’s largest island — home to just 57,000 people.
I met Greenland’s most famous YouTuber, explored Inuit culture, and tasted whale & seal meat.
Though ruled by Denmark, Greenlanders are Inuit at heart — closer to Alaska than Europe.

❄️ A rare look inside the frozen world — raw, real, unforgettable.
