What do the team at China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology – suspected by many of effectively manufacturing COVID-19 and causing the pandemic – deserve?

Condemnation? Investigation? No, according to China’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian, they should be awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine for their research, instead of being ‘criticised’ by the West. And he was being serious.

It’s a narrative straight out of the ‘Big Lie’ methodology of Nazi propaganda chief Joseph Goebbels.

Goebbels said:

‘If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie.’

‘It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.’

It seems that the People’s Republic of China could give Goebbels a run for his money in the propaganda stakes.

Last Friday, the Wuhan institute was shortlisted for an ‘outstanding science achievement’ prize for ‘identifying’ SARS-CoV-2, the virus which causes COVID-19.

The Chinese Academy of Sciences published its list of candidates for the 2021 prize, naming the laboratory’s director, ‘bat woman’ Shi Zhengli, and deputy director Yuan Zhiming, as outstanding contributors.

Dr. Shi is nominated in the category of individuals who have ‘made or demonstrated significant achievements in the past five years’.

The academy praised her ‘achievement in identifying the COVID-19 pathogen and completing the coronavirus gene sequencing, virus isolation, receptor verification, mouse model establishment and other studies on pathogen identification’.

Dr Yuan is named for his ‘outstanding contribution in establishing a coronavirus non-human primate infection model’.

The state-run Global Times.cn wrote that the award nomination comes as the institute and its scientists are being ‘attacked in a new round of slander from Western politicians and media’, who continue to refer to growing speculation that the virus was created in the lab via ‘gain of function’ research – which seeks to supercharge pathogens through genetic manipulation.

Of course, the World Health Organisation will endorse the Wuhan nomination after previously praising the work of the institute, affirming its practice and the quality of its scientific papers.

In February, the laboratory was cleared of any wrongdoing after a WHO team of investigators, some of whom had collaborated previously with the institute, carried out extensive investigations into the origins of SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19. Totally unbiased investigations, of course.

Their verdict then was that it was ‘extremely unlikely’ that the virus came from the lab, either by accident or on purpose.

The WHO continues to dismiss the lab leak theory as a racist conspiracy and to denigrate former US President Donald Trump, who questioned the source and nature of the ‘novel’ virus last year.

Now though, the notion is again gaining traction after Freedom of Information laws released thousands of emails, some heavily redacted, to and from Dr Anthony Fauci, Joe Biden’s chief medical adviser, that implicate him in the funding of ‘gain of function research’ in Wuhan.

Fauci, who often bizarrely refers to himself in the third person, said in a recent interview with the New York Times: ‘Fauci has blood in his hands’ – are you kidding me?’

He added: ‘Here’s a guy whose entire life has been devoted to saving lives, and now you’re telling me he’s like Hitler? You know, come on, folks. Get real.’ He and President Biden clearly share communication tips.

Fauci, who was also part of Trump’s coronavirus task force, argued that anyone attacking him is ‘actually criticising science’. Such a big ego for such a little man.

Elsewhere, Alina Chan, a Canadian scientist and Harvard associate, is one of 18 ‘experts’ who have found sufficient integrity to sign a letter calling for a thorough exploration into the origins of the pandemic.

Although Chan had voiced her support for an investigation into the possibility of a lab leak early in the outbreak, she told NBC that most scientists were wary not to ‘lean too close to views linked to the former (accusedly Sinophobic) president’.

‘At the time, it was scarier to be associated with Trump and to become a tool for racists, so people didn’t want to publicly call for an investigation into lab origins,’ she said, in an admission that should surprise no one.

There is increasing circumstantial evidence that the Wuhan lab was at fault, including a Wall Street Journal report that three of the lab’s researchers had fallen ill from respiratory disease in November 2019.

More and more virologists are challenging the lab’s theory – and the strong narrative of the Chinese government – that the virus jumped species naturally. The accumulation of contrary scientific opinion has even led to Biden’s handlers insisting he call for further investigations.

According to the Global Times, the Wuhan Institute did exemplary work and ‘quickly carried out pathogen identification after the outbreak of COVID-19, completed the entire virus genome sequencing and virus isolation within a short time, confirmed that the COVID-19 virus shares the same functional receptor as the SARS virus’ and ‘revealed that coronavirus carried by bats may be the evolutionary ancestor of the COVID-19 coronavirus’. Or perhaps not.

No one can deny that the Chinese researchers have indeed produced impactful work.

Their scientific output and their masters’ use of it has changed the lives of millions worldwide and made virology our daily companion.

Because of their efforts, new and spectacularly dangerous medical interventions have been facilitated by governments everywhere and imposed on citizens at breakneck speed.

A group of globalists have been able to consolidate their partnerships with policymakers eager to dismantle our societies and ‘build back better’.

Scientific and political elites grasped an opportunity to implement plans for the ‘Great Reset,’ perhaps sooner than they ever expected.

Should the paradigm-shifting scientists at Wuhan not win the CAS prize or indeed, the Nobel Prize – because life can be fickle – then I am confident that Bill Gates, George Soros, the Davos crowd, and the boards of Pfizer, Moderna, Oxford/Astra Zeneca, and Johnson & Johnson would all happily contribute to a special award to mark their efforts – tax deductible, of course.
